The national Bank did not want employees doing outside marketing so kmaloans.com was left alone with no promotion or blogging of any kind. From 2007 to 2009 the website generated about 5-7 quality leads per month, resulting in a closing approximately 1 loan per month from the website. The site generated 3 closed loans from Fall of 2009 1 last November and the other 2 in February and March of this year. According to the owner there has been a decline in the amount of quality leads since the daily blogging was discontinued. The leads have dropped off to about 2-3 per month. The owner believes that initiating daily blogging would, over a short period of time, increase the leads from the site. Many of the calls the owner receives are for “fair credit” loans: which was previously considered to be around 580. These loans can’t be done any longer due to changes in the industry, However, one of the benefits of those industry changes is that fair credit now includes scores up to 620 and those loans can still easily be done. The organic rankings for fair credit allow a new buyer to position themselves to cater to the new “fair credit” loan applicants with scores in the low to mid 600’s. Other assets include a blog, 5 year customer database, and database of referral sources (Real estate agents). While the current url would need to be retained to maintain organic search engine rankings the names, phone numbers, text, and side links are all editable to customize for a new owner. The website sidebar is in a separate file allowing the addition of sidebar links to be done easily.
